And So It Goes

In the last 2 days I have done 11 loads of laundry. Needless to say I am about fucking sick of doing laundry. That doesn't matter though because it still all needs to be put away. Wheeeee.

We went from having just beautful weather, like 70s and stuff, back to ass freezing (for the locale people, not that damn world) and so I adjusted our dinner menu accordingly. Felt like making some beef stew and got a wild hair and was going to make potato soup from scratch. So what happens? Damn weather goes back to being warm!!! Tough shit, we're eating warming food anyways.

Little is doing her damned best to be walking. Our whole purpose of being right now is to get to standing. She does this very well and is rather blase about it anymore. Doing a one handed hold on the couch or table as she looks about. Deep down though, she wants to be somewhere else and not have to get down to do it dammit!

She has been a piece of work lately, and this morning we found the reason. Cutting our third tooth finally. Getting an upper in. Because reaching in to pull out all the things she shoudn't have stuffed in there in the first place just wasn't dangerous enough. No, she needs more weapons at her disposal.

Next month we attend a meeting about enrolling Munchkin into Kindergarten. Where in the holy blue hell did the time go? Going to school this fall more than likely. Jeebus.

But that's life. And so it goes.

Chick Flick Weekend

Okay, I spent Friday night eating chocolate and watching Under the Tuscan Sun and then tonight we watched Must Love Dogs. I need my man card revoked I think. I need to watch Blood Sport and Black Hawk Down now or something to even shit up.

Just Another Manic Monday

Okay, not so manic really. Monday the 13th. Don't you think that should be the spooky day? No one likes Mondays. They're crap! What did a Friday ever do to anyone? Everyone loves Fridays, we can't wait for them to come!! How may times have you been longing all week for Monday? Never I say! Monday the 13th should be the fucked up date and leave Fridays alone.

Anyway.

No work today so that is nice. Shipped the kids off to daycare for some quiet and to get some stuff done. Pick up the house and get some laundry done. Exciting times these are mon frer. Go ahead. Envy me!!!

...the Bell Tolls For Thee

Well my luck has run out, used it up. I'm getting sick. With everyone else in this family sick, I had managed to avoid it even while tending to them. I lasted an entire week and I think what did me in was me thinking yesterday that I might just get off scott free. Now it is just a matter of how bad and how long will I get hit.

Happy Dancing Tastebuds

Last night, dinner was awesome. Got some tri-tip, my favorite cut of beef, tasty beyond belief and I took it a step further with some homemade chimichurri sauce. Oh. My. Gawd. it was so damn good. Them Brazilians might just be on to somehting. Seriously good eats.

Genius

I was making Munchkin a pot pie and it wasn't until I was pulling it out from the microwave that I realized it was in a tin tray. All the previous ones I had bought were made special for the microwave and this time I grabbed some different ones. Wonder if the micro will work again.

Wheeee

Ya know what'll kick start your morning? A Krispy Kreme and a Pepsi. Man I was spun for a good hour.

Both kids are sick but things seem to be mellowing. Yesterday was a test of patience and love. I figure I got a C-. Being tag teamed sucks ass.

This was a fun movie quiz I found over at Friday Fishwrap. I managed to get 19 by myself and then with the wife we are stuck at 24.

Ya know what show I am really enjoying and thereby dooming to cancellation? Love Monkey on CBS on Tuesdays. Enjoy the hell out of it. Great characters, good dialogue and the music is awesome.

Super Bowl Predictions

Okay, step right up folks amd the amazing Murph-o do his schtick. I was going to predict the score but what is the fun in that. I am going to go ass crazy with the predictions.

Shaun Alexander will be kept under 100 yards but will have a TD.

Jerome Bettis will have under 60 yards but will also have a touch.

Cedrick Wilson will get a TD on a deep route.

Heath Miller will get a score while they are in the red zone.

Joe Jurevicius will score the same way.

Seattle will get, maybe one sack.

Pitt will have 3-4.

Pitt will also force either a fumble or an interception.

Toss in some field goals and I call the game 27-17.

MVP Troy Polamalu (dependng on ankle) or Ben Roethlisberger.

or I could be way off, wth do I know?

Here We Go Again

Okay folks, here's a pop quiz for ya. At this very moment, where is my car? That's right!! The mechanics! Fuck me rollerblading. Stupid alternator went out and so the battery got drained dry. At least it did it on payday.

I'm so looking forward to the Super Bowl. Go Pittsburgh! Need to get to the store to prepare. Should be a good spread this year. Here is a brief look at what we'll have;

Onion Dip
Olive Dip
Fresh Salsa, homemade
Sun Dried Tomato and Pesto Cream Cheese spread (that is so the women at work)

Lil Smokies in Whiskey BBQ sauce
Buffalo Wings

Potato Salad
Margarita Shrimp Salad
BBQ Beef Sammitches

Since we came up with that, I am totally craving hot links and sausages. Oh well. I'll just get some for me for whenever.

Great game, great food and let's not forget the commercials. Rolling Stones at half time is it? Meh. But I tell you, if Mick or Keith have a wardrobe malfunction there isn't enough bleach in the world to clean that sight from your eyes.
