Old Highlifes, Waiting Room Blues

So took Munchkin in for her very first dental check up. Probably a little later than it should be, but still, better than not at all. She was a pretty good patient too, getting the xrays and her teeth cleaned. Not at all patient, waiting on the dentist, but when they ere working with her, she did great.

Downside of course is that she has 4 cavities. Tiny ones apparently, that only showed up on the xrays, and they are in between her teeth. Time to teach her to floss now. So certainly not looking forward to being there when she gets shot full of Novocaine and worked on.

She also has a cross bite because she is still sucking her thumb/finger. We have been telling her forever to knock it the fuck off but she doesn't. Even the Dr told her to stop but she is still doing it. Now, is it a little morally shady to have her associate her finger sucking to the pain of having cavities drilled so she stops?

Yeah, I thought so too, but I am so tempted to do it. Horrible I know. Put me up for Father of the Year.

Back the Truck Up Boys!

We decided to give the girls rooms and play area a good cleaning. It was time for a lot of that crap to just be tossed. I'm sure we had no fucking idea we would be tossing out 7-8 garbage bags full. It was insane and Munchkin was the biggest culprit. That girl is seriously a pack rat. So when they got home, no one noticed anything other than everything was a whole lot cleaner. That of course may very well change once someone goes looking for a toy that is now gone.

Did anyone else watch the VH1 Rock Honors last night? Over all, not a bad show at all. When I was it was Nickleback doing a tribute for ZZ Top, I rolled my eyes and thought fucked up but by god they did a really great job. And so did Gretchen Wilson and Alice in Chains for Heart. Man that was a really great job and damn did Heart still kick some serious ass. Genesis was entirely blah...way to pick some hits to play. And then Queens of the Stone Age with Paranoid was enjoyable and so was Ozzy even in his current, addled condition, still seems to put on a decent show.

Howdy

Velcomen, bienvenue, velcome, come on in.

After the savagery I got from Pichy (j/k), I am here and posting. I had stuff to post but it all seemed so negative that I honestly didn't want to heap out for others to read. And from there, well, inertia and all that, right?

Things are good here. Mundane, same old same old, but good, ya know?

I took Munchkin to my school's Open House so she could see the classrooms she'd be attending next year. That was pretty cool.

We had a lovely Easter with the whole family over at my parents. Here are a couple pics to help get me out of the dog house.

We had a lovely Mother's Day recently where I got in over my head making Shannon three different raviolis and three different sauces. It was a lot of fun though, and it kinda made me miss having the food blog.

Little is currently enraptured with Blues Clues. She brings me the remote and asks "Peeeeeease Boo Cues." while making the little flashing hand signs that go with the show. Kinda hard to say no. She is a crack up. She doesn't say yes or no, every thing is yep, or nnnnnope.

Just a touch over two weeks of school left and then I have the summer off. Not that I know what I am going to do with my time other than become more of a house dad and bored. I'm thinking of growing out my goatee again and dying it. Maybe bright blue this time. Then I'll get a tshirt that says Smurfalicious. Hahhaa. It's funny to me dammit, hush.
